# New Folder and Options menu greyed out

Not sure how long ago this change took place but the New Folder icon and the options icon next to it are always greyed out. They’re usable but I’m presuming they’re not supposed to be dark in the same way that other icons are when they can’t be used.

Indeed. Some elements are too dark in dark mode.

It’s been since parametric went live I believe. I hate the new system. Selecting parts now only gray highlights folders and even in light mode (most parts I model are black and have to use light mode to even see them) it’s very hard to see since it’s not an “abrupt” difference in color.

I don’t think that’s the problem here. It seems to me that they’re supposed to be as bright as icons like the undo/redo

In this image you can see a clear difference between an active and inactive button in those undo/redo buttons.

Right. They are not “greyed out” because of being disabled (like the redo button in your pix); just way too dark. Agreed, they should be the color of the undo button in your pix.
