# "new geometry hidden by selection view" in Shapr Desktop

So if I use shapr on the ipad, I can have the cube view be “top” draw a circle and then extrude it up. However if I do the exact same set of actions on macOS, the circle becomes orange and a message appears at the top of the screen saying “new geometry hidden by selection view”
So what did I do wrong?

Ahhh I found it, somehow I had accidentally turned on selection view
