But I have a doubt…
Is it possible to place points on an object in Shapr3D?
and in this case, what is the attached menu for? apart from Snap to grid.
J’avoue être un peu perdu.
Thanks.

U should create a plane offset off the ball (or whatever it is) and sketch on it. Then you can project it on the ball.

Good luck, mon ami!

Hi [GroMark](https://discourse.shapr3d.com/u/GroMark),
It’s not that simple. With the Project tool, the shape does not stay rigid (flat).
In fact, I want to be able to place reference points on the 3D shape and then connect them.
In the end, I have to have a flat shape that follows the rounded shape of the sphere. That’s why the screen shot talking about 3D Guide Points.
To better understand, here is also the principle with Moi3D.

you can project and use 3 point construction plane because they will snap.

Hi,
Look at my screen shot in attachment above. Green points snap to object. In red i connect points (green) with Lines (red).
I don’t use Project. I just want to put points on the 3D ball.
I thought it was possible with Shapr3D, but apparently not.
In fact, I believe that Snap to Object does not work with any tools.

It is a work around because we don’t have a point tool.
