# One dimension of the sketch - related to the extrusion

Hello I’m new here and I wanted to start by saying hello to everyone - ‘Hello’ 😉  
I obviously come to you with a problem that cannot be solved (from my level 🙂  
I’m already explaining… (all based on the attached screenshot from the program) - I would like one of the dimensions of my ‘sketch’ to influence the value of ‘extrusion’. That is, if I change the value of one of the sides of the square to e.g. 5 mm then automatically the ‘extrusion’ value will also change to 5 mm.

Just edit the sketch and change the length there. It will be picked up automatically by the extruded body.
