# Perpendicular to edge at point not working

Hello,  
Does someone knows how why I can’t draw perpendicular to edge at point like it shows on this video at 1:48 ? When I open offset from face command nothing pops like it’s showing on this youtube video [Perpendicular to edge at point 1:48](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5pGuXRIsCs&t=107s)

Hi @Ignas!

What seems to me is that you are trying to make a plane with the “ **Offset face** ” tool. As offset face is a different tool than the construction plane tool, this might be the issue.

Try using the “ **Construction Plane** ” tool from the “ **Add** ” menu. Make sure to select the **type** to be “ **Perpendicular to Curve at Point** ” for it to work as in the video!
