Hello,

I am creating a cylindrical geometry and I would like to remove material by revolving (to create a groove). How to do so? I don’t see any option in “Revolve” command. It only adds material.

Best regards
Michal

There’s a few ways, one way it’s to place an intersecting part and subtract it. Another way is to draw a sketch on your part, revolve it to say, 45 degrees then extrude in both directions so it cuts it out. By far the easiest is to draw your sketch with the exact shape you want then revolve around an axis.

Hope that helps, I suck at teaching lol

A good teacher gives hints and clues. Doing it for them teaches less.
