# Projection Tool

Hello,
I am trying to use the projection tool on a ring but to add a pattern (see enclosed photo) but am unable to create an automated/batch projection. The video tutorial demonstrating projection and material removal from the light bulb was helpful but only shows how one indent was made and not how it was revolved or batch processed to make the entire bulb.
Please advise,

As far as I know, there is no batch mode for projection.
Do it this way using the **Pattern** tool.
Make a duplicate of your ring. Then do only one projection.
**Subract** the ring from the combined ring+projected body. The projected part is now a separate body. Now you can use the **Pattern** tool to place as many parts as you like around the ring.
