# Pull without cutting

I was wondering if there is an option to pull a surface into a solid without cutting into other items. In Spaceclaim this is something I can select but I have no clue how to do this in Shapr3D. I am working on Mac.

Yes, in the extrude tool’s menu you can select what action you want to do. By default it’s subtract, but you have other options too:
