Hallo!

Hello!
Who has experience with real terrain points (surface mesh) for creating terrain models.
I am looking for the right import of 3D data point cloud, mesh etc. to use rugged terrain for designs.
I have already tested: Civil-3D as DXF import.
The data comes, but I am missing the net of the connecting triangles.
Greetings from Madrid.
Ulf

If you want to be able to edit the model in Shapr3D, I _think_ you are going to need the data in one of the following formats (x\_t, step, iges, sldprt, sldasm). Dxf is fine if you only want a 2D representation of the model. I don’t believe Shapr3D supports a 3D DXF file (would like to be wrong).

I am not sure how you can get geo data in one of the formats above without using some other tool.

Maybe someone else has some better advice?

Danke.

In my case IGES shines to be the right way. It work‘s. Thanks.
