Hi everyone,

I’m at the start of a process of drawing all our products but I use the same parts repetitively over a lot of our designs. Is there a way to save a parts list so I can start a new drawing and select parts previously drawn to “import” into the new drawing.
Hope that makes sense.

Many thanks

As stated by Oregonnerd, not as you describe it. However, you can created a folder within Files for each project, and export the components to that Folder.

Then as you need those components, you access that Folder and import the components, albeit one by one.

I have hundreds of components that I reuse all the time. They are saved in project Folders. It only takes a moment to import previous component designs. Save the component designs as Shapr3D format.

Hello Sir,

Thank you for sharing your insights. I attempted to export a specific part into another drawing; however, the process resulted in the entire drawing being loaded, causing my original work to disappear. In a state of urgency, I simply used the undo function. What a I doing wrong to transfer that part to another drawing.

This seems to make it good practice to make separate the sketches for different parts if you might reuse them elsewhere.
