Hey guys,

another day, another struggle. I want to make a curved ellipse button. Below I attached a rough sketch of the idea. Didn’t work on my side with sweep, extrude and postprocessing or revolving.

Does anyone of you have some good idea to handle this?

Thank you very much!

Patrick

1. Make a sketch like your profile on the left side and extrude it. Then make a sketch of your top view (Oval on the right) above the extrusion. Extrude that down through the first extrusion but choose intersect.

2. Draw 2 ovals one inside the other and a line through them to revolve half of the ovoid into a half shell. Then extrude and oval sketch down through that choosing intersect.

2 different results. Should get you what you want.
