Hi Team, I am glad to be part of this community. I am very new to using Shapr3D, and I am trying to create a drawing for a tapered pipe thread for some directional drilling tools. I have created the main body; however, when I try to create the thread, it doesn’t give me the effect I want. It might be because I revolved it around the center axis. The shape I want to recreate looks like the one in the pictures below.
Can somebody advise me or give me a hint on how to achieve this effect?

Thanks very much for your knowledge sharing

Hi @JRicardi08,

> Hi @Tanner Welcome to the forum. The solution to your problem has been discussed several times and is not obvious at first. I do not take the credit for this, but I cannot remember who shared it for the first time. The point is to sweep the circle along the edge of a body specially created for this purpose by intersecting an helix with a cone. The video shows it all. Hope it helps grinning
