As we dont have a free selection by ‘lasso’ I often find I want to rotate the World to make a complex selection. Something that could be achieved by keyboard and/or by clicking the left and right arrows of the cube with a modifier to get 1 or 10° increment.

You can rotate the camera view in set increments using these shortcuts:

- Command + Arrow keys: rotates the view by 15°
- Command + Shift + Arrow keys: rotates the view by 45°

_(On Windows, just swap Command for Ctrl)._

Unfortunately rotate view via keyboard is disabled during area selection at the moment.

I am aware of this, thank you (though I still think it should be an option to 1°).

But I may have been unclear:

And yes, there are sometimes several ways to get the sought for selection, but not as simple and fast as with this rotation. Especially when there are several consecutive moves to be done.
