Hello,

New to Shapr3D. Very excited to get some projects through it.

Looking to design a sail yacht hull on the platform. I want to then take cross section from the hull as a means of creating CNC files. Would anyone be interested in giving some advice?

Cheers,

Lou

Hi Lou!
Few years ago I’ve made a fuselage front end , with the loft tool, at now more easier with the new feature “guided loft”.
You can make cross sections with split planes, and can project sections edges to a new plane and can export in dxf format.

I have three kind of version. “Stepped back”. : [image] “ Rounded back” : [image] and long ended : [image] The first of two need more feature and experince to draw to finish. But both of three should be welcome the guided loft and “dome” feature . The target is a mould form: [image] Here is two link from the drawing: [https://youtu.be/KG2N-gM8mYg](https://youtu.be/KG2N-gM8mYg) And from the loft [https://youtu.be/xPQkCAeFC24](https://youtu.be/xPQkCAeFC24) Brg A
