You’ve made it this far! It’s time for our final challenge:

**What you’re building**

Create a parametric model of a tiled table. The model must automatically adapt the number of tiles based on adjusting two independent driving variables:

1. the dimension of the tile

2. and the dimension of the border.

By modifying these two driving parameters, the model must transition from State A to State B.

**The rules**

Fixed Dimensions: A, B, and C

Driving Dimensions: D and E

Driven Dimensions: F and G

⚠ Important: Design history tree should only contain Sketches and Extrusions. The use of any other features will result in an invalid submission.

NOTE: When the number of tiles is changed, a warning is expected in the design history!

Submit your CAD file through this [link](https://forms.gle/9LMUxUdDbeArkr2o9) **by the end of the week on Sunday.**

Your results are going to be shown on the leaderboard after the submissions are evaluated.

**Prize pool:**

If you haven’t submitted your entry yet, here is exactly what you are playing for:

- **🥇 1st Place Grand Prize:** a **3Dconnexion SpaceMouse** to take your modeling workflow to the next level.

- **🥈 Top 3 Finishers (1st–3rd Place):** A **giftable Shapr3D Pro Subscription** (perfect for a friend, colleague, or to extend your own design flow).

- **👕 Every Participant:** Win **exclusive Shapr3D merch** just for stepping up to the challenge.

- **🏅 Every Participant:** Earn a limited-edition **digital community badge** to showcase your achievement on your profile.

Put your parametric skills to the test, submit your design, and claim your rewards before Season 1 closes!

**Scoring reminder**

Complete the challenge → earn 10 completion point

Complete the challenge successfully → earn 6 success points

First 5 people to submit gets → 5-4-3-2-1 points

Stay consistent across the challenge → after 3 participations you get 3 extra points, after all 5 participations you get additional 10 points

As usual, questions are welcome here. Good luck!

The rules don’t seem to be complete?

i.e. for a given D and E, F and G are not determinate even if N is also a driving parameter.

I seem to be missing something fundamental?

[thanks for hint below. Edited post to avoid distracting others!]

Here is a little tip to help you tackle the relationships: the outer border dimension (D) depends on the border thickness (G), there is a specific ratio between these two dimensions. These are dependent dimensions.

Sure is tricky. I have outer and inner boarder working so far. Now how to control the tiles….hmmn🤔

Weeeeeell… I got it done based on length values, but I wouldn’t call it elegant. Just setting another driving variable with the number of tiles would certainly be the more obvious thing to do in a “real world” application.

Was a fun puzzle though!

Mine was working then it wasn’t, then it was with a lot of hang on the iPad.

Tried my best.

Well, as a newbie, I absolutely loved this challenge! I had never used variables in Shapr3D before, so this was a huge learning experience for me. I spent my entire Sunday working on it, testing different approaches, making mistakes, starting over, and learning something new every step of the way.

Unfortunately, I missed the previous challenges, but I’m so glad I joined this one. It really pushed me to think parametrically instead of just modeling. I learned more in one day than I expected.

Thank you for creating such a fun and educational challenge. I’ll definitely be joining the next season!
