# Section View enhancement request

I’d like to be able to manually sweep a construction plane through an object in Section View to see different parts of the cross-section without having to get out of Section View, move the plane, and then re-enter Section View.

SketchUp had this feature and it was quite useful.

My workaround is to create a simple plane alongside my model then extrude it to cut away the model to see the section…

More detailed models can be little laggy…

With this technique you can be selective and just create a section view of part of the model rather than the entire model…

I know the is far from ideal but at least it works 😄
