# Separating parts into new projects

Is it possible to isolate and save certain parts of projects to new projects if there own without bringing the rest with it?

Hi pHp,

Yes. Isolate what you want and export in Parasolid x\_t format. You will get bodies only; no sketches or history.

Is there a way to do this with sketchs as well or if i just isolate the sketch and do the same thing will that work

No, not directly. You would need to duplicate your project then delete all items you don’t need.
