Is there a way I could fix this problem?

Somewhere there is a line that is not connected.

That’s the thing I’ve closed all of the part that weren’t connected, should I just redraw the whole thing from scratch

If you select segments/ edges and then check the ends by zooming in and look for a gap. Also on acute bends, look for a tiny loop instead of a corner. Zoom in close as you can.

Also the interior lines are not functional to a closed sketch.

Lastly make sure all of your lines are on the same plane. You can also project the lines to a plane and that might resolve it.

you might try drawing random lines in the trouble area and see if it suddenly turns blue.. then you can narrow it down from there

I had seen people mention what oregonerd said on other posts but I couldn’t find the issue when I had zoomed in. Here’s the link

This time that is a secret for me to. Looks like a glitch.

The only it has now is that the part that got fixed runs into a operations failed prompt when trying to extrude

That’s correct behavior. Shapr3D forbids non-manifold bodies.

The program knows where the problem is. Sure would be nice if the error could be highlight by the program. Which is one of a few peoples reasons for shunning Shapr.

Sure. That would be helpful.

But I must emphasize that users usually create this kind of problem themselves 🙂

What I mean is that if a user pays more attention to modeling quality, this kind of problem would never arise. I personally only encounter situations like this when fixing other people’s mistakes 🙂

* * *

For example, here it is quite obvious that the problem is caused by the new spline being connected to the wrong point while creating the sketch.

* * *

However, there are also cases where the sketch is imported with defects

In this exact situation, dividing the sketch with additional lines is the fastest way to find the problematic area. Once I narrowed it down to a few possible problem spots, I just checked those nodes manually.
