# Sketches Groups Request

It would be great if there was a + Interface as in Shapes where you could automatically move selected sketches that are on parallel planes from one named sketch (plane) to another.

When doing architectural type drawings you often want to do partial displays of items like boundaries, building code space requirements, existing construction, new construction, etc. I draw these on parallel planes, say 0.01 in apart. But it is tedious to remember the distances and move items from one plane to another. Thus, the request. This capability would make s3d much more sketch friendly.

Re the interface, it would be more logical and a common Left to Right start order to have Sketches on the Left, then Shapes (and title it so — not Groups). As you do Sketches before you can do a Shape. I often click on the cube when I want Sketches. The remaining two are somewhat ancillary.

Sketches / Shapes / Construction Geometry / Images

The whole groups menu is limited and has very basic functions. It needs a complete redesign to be really useful.
