# Sketching: line, circle, etc. get's put near purple guide-points, not onto them

So, these purple guide-points, when i try placing a sketch onto them, it get’s placed around them, not on them. Project/App restart doesn’t help. Nor does exporting the objects as .step and re-importing into fresh project. Only PC restart does. Currently reinstalling Shapr, see if that works. Wanted to report nevertheless

This is just a how the visualization of the 3D data works at a very small scale. When you see the “midpoint” hover message, it actually snaps to the midpoint. At very small scales these kind of visualization errors happen.

Updated with video showing it with big sketches in the centimeter realm
I don’t think it’s that. No matter the size of the object/sketch, it happens. When i, on the same sketch “plane”, create a sketch not connected to anything, it fixes it. See video [Untitled video - Made with Clipchamp on Vimeo](https://vimeo.com/952248039?share=copy)

I had a support ticket for this as well. Turning all the snap point options off then back on temporarily fixes it.
