# Snapping not working when copying and pasting in sketch mode

Hi,

In sketch mode, Shapes and lines snap to each other when I draw a new one.

They do not snap to each other when I copy and paste something. Copied and pasted objects also do not snap to the grid, which makes creating a complex edge made up of repeating parts absurdly tedious.

Once again I cannot find any help articles or forum posts on this, apologies it’s probably a very obvious option I am missing.
