Hi, Im a furniture maker and like to draw with a lot of lose bodies in order te pull mu cutlist later from the bodies. I’d like to snap the bodies. How can i snap the bodies to points? Or from point to point? Also i d like to change the distance from body to body accuratly.

See video for details please.

Thanks in advance, hope this is good info.

Use **Replace Face** for your first video example. For point to point you can use **Translate**.

Thank you very much for your reply. I did not understand the guidelines. Now i do. I had to align an edge to another and immediately after that use an arrow to click and drag it to the guideline helper in purple.

Still have to search how i have to set the exact distance between objects.

Can you explain how to do this for a curved body ? For example to place it on the surface of a flat body, see photo. I would like to design different parts (seperate) and then combine this to the final design, but I am struggling with aligning, snapping etc.

Hi,

For this use case, the Translate tool would be the best. Give it a try!
