# Spline Lag

Hey - So ive been working on tracing this image that is curved and complex. I figured using splines would be the best way - however, they seem to be lagging quite badly when I try to add a new spline (3-4 second wait for each spline).

Any tips?

I think the problem may be that you have too many points on the splines. You could do the job with about 20 percent of them and still have an accurate sketch.

Hmmm ok,

I kind of just assumed the more splines = the more accurate the tracing.
