# Stupid Question -\> Where’s duplicate button

**UPDATE: FIGURED IT OUT**

Leaving here in case any noobs like my self arrive at this.

After selecting your object. Hit the little **+** button that appears right next to your object.

You’ll then see a notification appear up top stating **copying ON**

At that point, just use the front arrow to drag out **(or if you want to be all technical n shit… the arrow pointing towards -1 on the z axis)** and **abba cadababra** there goes your duplicate!

**PRE-SOLUTION POST:**  
I created an object. I just want to press a **duplicate** button, and it creates a duplicate of the object, and it appears right right next to the object it’s duplicating.

my entire 3D object is highlighted (all blue) Where is this button?

If you only want one copy, turn it off as soon as your first move is done. If you try to do additional moves, you’ll get additional copies otherwise.
