The tool to create text leaves a 2D object after I have pressed «Done».
To make a 3D object I have to select the surface of each single letter and then Extrude them.

Before I press «Done», all the surfaces are already selected as I can move them collectivly.

By adding «Extrude» to «Done» and «Cancel», extruding should be much easier.

I wholeheartedly agree with this recommendation. I would also like to see:

1. The ability to chamfer or fillet text edges (upper or lower).
2. “Sticky” input data (to use an analogy from HTML forms) with persistence of what is entered so if users must backtrack and begin again, they don’t need to start from scratch and reenter the text, etc.
