# Transparant objects within other objects

Whether I have a transparent solid (clear glass that symbolizes a colored liquid), or if I use another material that I make more transparent, it is not visible from the side in the clear cocktail glass. Can anyone explain why?

Someone had a similar question regarding only seeing one of multiple transparent materials, and the response from the Shapr representative was that it is a known limitation and that only one transparency will appear in a “stacked” material transparency scene.

Instead of glass try the Simple Transparent Material.

Put little more effort, but it doesn’t have the glass distortion.
