# Trouble with Union, iPad pro

Hey gang,
I went through the headphone YouTube tutorial mostly unscathed.
However, when trying out this [canoe](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4W2uQGbXWY) one, right at the very beginning I’m having issues. I can sweep just fine to get the first half of the hull, then mirror, but when I go to do the Union operation, I get odd results with the remaining body, where I can’t delete the end pieces (being done at ~3:14) — instead of being left with a pointy hull, on each end I’m left with the initial swept shapes end merged into the hole, but on alternating ends.
I don’t understand what’s going wrong because I followed the guide to a T twice and it’s a very straightforward set of instructions and measurements getting to this point. I can’t post a with attachments yet so I’m doing my best at explaining this via text.
Any idea what I can do?
