Is it possible to combine two intersecting edges? For context, I am looking to recreate an iPod Nano. The default ellipse shape wasn’t exactly what I wanted so I drew one half and mirrored it. Now I have a line in the middle of my design. I’ve tried everything but can’t seem to turn the sketch ouline into one solid line (not 2). When I extrude the sketch I get this line in the middle of my design. What’s the easiest way to remove this?

Look in visualization and see if it still bothers. Did you try zebra analysis?

The line is a representation of 2 curve’ boundaries. It does not necessarily affect the smoothness of the body. It does bug the eyes and brain though.

As long as the points where they join they are tangent to each other you should not see it in the final product.

Not shown in the visualization. Should I just ignore the line?

You can ignore it. If you are looking for perfection though, go into to the “View” menu and select the Zebra or curvature analysis to make sure.

The line is simply a “representation”.

I’m taking lots of sips of coffee between typing so the need for editing my replies…☕

As long as your two mirrored halves of the sketch are tangent to each other, there will be no line in the geometry, it will be perfectly smooth. The line is there in the viewport, but it is not a surface feature. So you can ignore it.

To be certain, you can add tangent constraints on each pair of lines coming together. If it isn’t there automatically.

Woops, Mr. Oregon beat me to it. 😅

And if you want to make it without that line at all, use the Ellipse tool or a spline to draw the sketch.
