# Unable to close sketch

I have created a sketch with two fit type splines, sort of offset from each other with a line to close up the gap between them.

When i leave the sketch mode and try to select the enclosed area the inner spline does not work as a separator which means that the area selected is not the area confined between the splines but much large on the inner side.

I do not know how to enclose a model or screen dump to show you. Please inform me of how to do

can you specify your issue a little more?  
I can extrude each and every closed loop in your sketch:

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your rapid help.

I really feel stupid because Now it works for me too, and I have no idea what I did wrong. Before, every time I tried to mark the small enclosed area I got the inner segment highlighted too.  
I guess one day I will understand.  
For now I just have to be happy that it works.
