# When I'm exporting an STL what difference does ticking include mesh bodies make?

So I’ve tried with it ticked and unticked and it doesn’t seem to make any difference in slicing software. Can someone tell me where it would be needed to include mesh bodies in your STL exporting? I’ve tried looking in support articles but it doesn’t seem to explain it any deeper than “ticking this will include mesh bodies”

I believe it includes any mesh bodies (like STLs) you imported to the project.

Ah okay, well I usually isolate what I need to export so probably why it never makes a difference
