So you align with one face to get the part lined up on the X-axis, then you think okay simple now I align again to get in lined up with the Y-axis. Then guess what happens, you lose the X-axis or Z-alignment. Why does this happen and can I prevent it?

Thanks

Perhaps use a different transform? Try translate. [https://support.shapr3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/7888735383580-Translate](https://support.shapr3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/7888735383580-Translate)

Not sure if you can prevent it, but if you drag the move tool to a face or edge aligned with the direction that you want to move, the move tool will snap to it and then you can move perpendicular or parallel to that face or edge.
