Aptilla is the alias for François M.J. Adang from Drunen, The Netherlands. Ended in 2013 his professional career as a self-employed (mechanical) Engineering Consultant. Educated and graduated at TU/e (Eindhoven University of Technology - 1975). Specialiation: mechanical, hydraulic, electric and pneumatic drive systems. USP’s: product design and configurators.
Worked with manufacturing companies that design and produce complex mechanical equipment. Help was provided for the engineering design and workflow processes. But product development and design was also part of my task.

In 1970 a started using main frame computers, in 1985 I acquired a HP PC and in 1992 my first work with 2D-CAD started, followed in 1999 by 3D-CAD. Up to today I am a passionate 2D / 3D CAD designer.

Many of my (83) designs created or re-engineered from internet informatie are published on GrabCAD.com since 2011 under the engineer’s name: Aptilla.
EASM-files are generated for eDrawings Viewer (SolidWorks) exported from my current 3D-CAD program (Solid Designer - 2006) running on a :vintage" HP Pavilion PC with Windows XP as OS.

Shapr3D is my new 3D-CAD direct modelling program in use since Juli 2021.
