I’ve been using sketchup for well over 15 years and it’s always left me somewhat frustrated that it doesn’t do certain things well, i.e. angular dimension can only be accomplished with 3rd party app and drawing a line from the tangent of one circle to another is not possible because circles are multi-faceted polygons so true tangents don’t exist.
When I retired from professional life, I renewed my interest in woodworking and some home renovation. I have always been searching for a CAD application that was reasonably intuitive and capable of true 3D design.
I think I have discovered what I have been seeking in the latest version of Shapr3D. Having the ability to create manufacturing drawings is a huge selling point for me and the ability to design on an iPad with an Apple Pencil makes navigating and editing easy and efficient in a 2D & 3D environment.
