Cannot share 2D drawings? [Mac]

I recently installed the trial version and composed my first drawing. I found the “Share & Embed / Webviewer” feature somewhat confusing and the documentation rather ambiguous on this point:

The application says: “create a link for your 3D model and 2D drawings”, but below that (in red) it says “create a 3D body and tap/click the visibility icon to publish.” While the sync feature seems to work based on the activity indicator, it appears that you cannot share a link to a 2D drawing which has not been extruded, even when sync is successful.

In the online manual, it says: "When you view 2D drawings via a Webviewer link, you can move and zoom in and out the drawing" – but I see no way to share 2D drawings through the apps share dialog. It also says: “Once the link is published, you can copy it from the Share & Embed tab” …but where is this tab? Is that a reference to the application, or the users web account?

I think the app & manual needs to clarify exactly how this works (perhaps with more illustration) because it is not immediately obvious or intuitive.

Hi,

I think the confusion comes from mixing sketches and 2D Drawings.

What you sketch in the modelspace, cannot be shared with the current implementation, only 3D (extruded) bodies. 2D (manufacturing) Drawings can be generated from those 3D bodies, and added to the shared link.

You can find the link itself in the “Share” menu, where you initiated the process from.
