I have always been fascinated by the paintings of Konrad Klapheck who became famous by his paintings of typewriters in the 60s/70s. I have the sketch of his “Autobiography” as a desktop background for many years. As he publishes both the finished oil painting on canvas (about 2 by 3 meters big!) plus the sketch it was easy for me to put it in the background of shapr and start from there. I ran into a few details that were hard to manage but I made it. Especially the spring at the front was a challenge but using the lofting tool worked for me. I rendered the exported stl files in Keyshot.
The first two pictures show Klaphecks original oil painting on canvas and the sketch.
