I bought 5 tires for my Ram pickup. I wanted a matching spare. Just bought a matching rim from Ebay.
Took it the the shop to get rid of the 12 year old spare + 17 inch rim and put my 20 inch Ebay rim and matching tire up in the spare carrier.
AND this is where it goes wrong… Thinking that Ram engineers know what they are doing. “sigh”. What was I thinking? It would just work? NOPE.
The tire carrier bracket does not fit through the stock 20 inch wheel center hole. FORK ME! Shapr to the rescue! Designing an aluminum billet to replace the stamped carrier bracket.
