Access to microphone during onboarding

Greetings,

I’m getting warnings that microphone is being accessed during app onboarding. Blocking this terminates the app.

Version: 3.55.0.606 (MacOS Beta)

Prerequisites:

  • Any app / service that monitors microphone access (I’m using Oversight v1.2 from

Steps to repro:

  • Start the app after a fresh install
  • Follow on onboarding, and click mouse is being used.
  • Wait for the video to start
  • Observe that app reports access

Expected results: explain user why this is required for video playback.

Wow, that’s weird. We are not even using the microphone anywhere. Thanks for the report we will look into this.

OK, so it’s apparently a bug in that tracking app. We are not accessing the microphone, just using the built in video player.
