Adding and extruding text is painful

At the moment, when you add text, it just becomes a sketch. This means when you want to extrude text, you have to individually select each letter. This is very annoying because when extruding many objects, if I misclick, I might have to start over. I suggest adding a feature so you can select all faces in a sketch.

Also, when adding a texture to text in the Visualisation tab, you have to invidually select every letter. I suggest adding an extrude mode like union, but even if the things are not touching, they still are linked in some way.

Yet another suggestion related to this is also make it so when extruding something as a new body, if it will result in more than 10 new bodies, automatically put them in a folder.

Finally, relating to folders, make the new folder button more visible. I initially thought that I could not use it right now for some reason because it looked grayed out, but it is just very low contrast. Maybe make it the blue colour that is in the logo and other menus.

You can exit the sketch, drag-select the text and, before releasing the mouse button or lifting the stylus, change the select filter to Faces. You then will need to deselect the holes in the text (e.g. the hole in the letter “O”).

Hi, Can you explain how to select ‘faces’ and deselect holes. I cannot figure this out  The filters do not give the ‘faces’ option as in the screen shot.

You have to exit out of the sketch first.
