I know it’s quite far from the original. That petal shape shown in your image stretched my skills. But i gave it a go and completed that which I started. Which is important for me (if nobody esle)?

Ok. See how time go for me this weekend. If i can get some time I’ll do a very rough YouTube video on the process I used. It was a very basic approach that matches my skill level.

Here you go. See whether you can follow it. A bit rough but I tried.

2 sketches. Top profile and side profile.

Extrude the top profile.

Extrude (choose intersection) the side profile.

Mirror then fillet the bottom edges.

Union the two halves.

Shell the top surfaces.

Use the move tool on the bottom surfaces (as needed) for depth.

Bevel the top inner edge.

Trick is planning your model out in as little sketches as needed. To make sure the petals fit I would do my sketch like this first to make sure the assemble petals fit after printed if it is an assembly. Color printing with a single head printer gets better results as an assembly

Your approach looked great too. The only thing I would have done extra is blended the top edge of the petals with a fillet where they bend.
