I feel dumb even posting this, but every time I sweep a circle, it turns into an oval. I am trying to create a very simple block to feed a water line through at an angle. It should be a 10 minute project at most, but I’ve spent this entire morning trying to figure out of I can maintain the circular dimensions all the way along the path.
I assume your path is a circular arc. Make sure your circle sketch is perpendicular to the start of your arc otherwise the sweep will result in an oval. BTW, the path does not need to be at the circle sketch.
Show us the section view so we can understand the path of your sweep.
I can only assume you’re trying to make something like this
I was about to say the same thing.
What Mike is recommending and what you have done.
This is following a spline if that changes anything
Spline should work fine. Again, just make sure the circle and start of the path is perpendicular to the start of the spline.
Welcome back TM
FYI if cut a straight pipe on an angle you will get oval.
If you do as mike suggested front will be circle but the back will be oval.
If you do as what Alex suggested Front & Back will be circular and if you rotate that section view 90 degree, now center part is oval.
Front is a 10mm circle. End of spline is also a 10mm circle.
I believe he started circular and the back is oval because he subtracted with a box which was what I was trying to describe.
Every oval is a circle if you turn it just right.
