Draw a parabola

Hi all,

I am trying to model a parabaloid which I can do by revolving a parabola around an axis but I have yet to figure out a way to draw a parabola. Is there a feature for this? If not, does anyone have tips as to how I can do so? (I am quite new to the modelling software)

Draw an ellipse. Bisect it. Revolve it. Subtract the desired shape from it. Use the Shell tool.

Please guys . There is no way you can bisect an ellipse to get a parabola . A parabola is not a closed shape . the focal point of a parabola is at infinity . Hence, you can not cut and ellipse and get a parabola.
