Let’s say you have 20 identical bodies several places in a project and have to edit them all. Is it possible to have them all linked to a master, which edited would update them all?
Yes. You can create a pattern or a copy, and if you edit the original features of the original body, he rest will be updated. You can find a ton of tutorials on our website about how parametric modeling works.
It was Xdrakosha that taught me the trick of using breakpoints to do this more efficiently. I personally use a linear pattern for my copies but this can be done the usual way too.
Simply add a breakpoint before you’ve made your copies and then edit the original part. Once you remove the breakpoint the subsequent copies will have changed too.
