I have created an object using the Union process. Prior to doing the Union of the pieces I can Extrude successfully on them. After I do a Union of the pieces I can not Extrude my shapes into the pieces that were put together via the Union process.
What should I be doing???
You can only extrude plane surfaces. If your combined objects no longer form a plane, extrude won’t work. Try selecting the surfaces you wish to draw out and use ‘offset’ instead. If you select multiple surfaces at once, your offset amount (by dragging or selecting the arrow and typing in the value) will be the same for each surface.
Can you share a picture of the object you are working on? And, can you select (highlight) the face or surface you wish to extrude?
