How do I export as a vector file

Hi, I woudl like to export as 2D I want to save in format I can use in a Laser cutter.

I can draw my shapes with no problem, but when I try to save it as a 2D drawing, or as an image, or DFX, it wants me to “select image” and it will not let me select anything, because my drawing is flat.

Pretty frustrated

Don’t use the Drawing menu. Use the Sketch menu, and export as DXF. Also, use the Top view when doing this. You may have to rotate your sketches. Lastly, give the design some thickness. i.e.: a solid body.
