.jpg images in visualisation

Hi, I need to have a label on the product that I modeled, and imported a .jpg. It seems after research that shapr3d visualisation can’t add a .jpg image to the visualisation. Is this still true, or is there an update coming, or perhaps there is a workaround?

Thanks
Christopher

Hi!

Yes, imported images are not visible in Visualization. It’s a frequently requested feature, so it’s on our roadmap, but I can’t tell you when it’s going to be released. I don’t know of any workaround for this, sorry.

Hi Levente,
Many thanks for the response. I appreciate your update.

Kind Regards

Chris

Please do implement it, we use visualisation mode to show partners, but often icons and such vanish from our models. :frowning:

When people want to add images to surfaces, what do you do? Do you use another tool to accomplish this?

yes, specific applications as Keyshot, Painter, Blender, Adobe Dimension, V-Ray, Cinema 4D, D5 Render, Octane Render, Womp, Unity, Photoshop, etc…

Just checking back here to see if this feature has been added. (i.e., the application of images to surfaces that will persist through .usdz export). It’s the one feature I need that Shapr3D didn’t have, and I’m using SketchUp as a result. (It’s a decent tool but I like Shapr better.)
