Move Towards Axis

Hello Community,

I’m looking for the best method to resolve something I seem to get stuck on every once in a while. I set up an example with a Cylinder and a bunch of spikes. What I want to do is move the spikes all closer to the Z-Axis while keeping their direction, angle, and size.

Any tips?

The only way I see it is to do it individually per spike…

So select one of your spikes (I did just a simple one ;o)

Then move the move point to the middle of the outside surface…so the movement will take the axes of that plane instead:

You see that the movement arrows have changed their direction…
