Im surprised that we cannot have multiple projects open at once on Macs. Seems a little bit absurd to me as I feel like that is a very basic feature missing from this program.
The ability to compare projects side by side and possibly copying/pasting bodies between projects would be so nice. It is so convoluted having to close and open projects if I want to go between them. Not to mention, how inefficient it is to export a project into its own file, to then have to import it into the file you want. Should just be a simple copy and paste.
That is not a full solution of your problem but you can open two (or more) instances of Shapr3D if you need them. Just copy the app and run them as two different apps.
Just don’t open one workspace in both copy and everything will be ok. I did that a couple of times already when using old project for reference while creating new one.
You mean duplicate a 2.1GB Shapr3D.app so I can open two projects simultaneously? And if I need to open three at once, I need to have three 2.1GB .apps sitting on my hard drive?
I agree with DawnVega, opening multiple projects at once is a very basic feature missing from Shapr3D.
