Season 1 Challenge #3 is live | Parametric Sketching 3/5

Time for the next challenge!

What you’re building

Task: Create a parametric model of a hexagonal honeycomb. By changing a single driving parameter (variable), the entire model must adapt and transition from State A to State B without any geometry failing or breaking constraints.

The rules
Fixed Dimensions: A
Driving Parameter: B
Driven Dimensions: All other structural dimensions must automatically update to maintain the honeycomb proportions.

:warning: Important: your design history tree must contain only Sketches and Extrusions. Any other feature type results in an automatic fail.

Submit your CAD file through this link by the end of the week on Sunday.

Your results are going to be shown on the leaderboard after the submissions are evaluated.

Scoring reminder

  • Complete the challenge → earn 10 completion point
  • Complete the challenge successfully → earn 6 success points
  • First 5 people to submit gets → 5-4-3-2-1 points (only correct answers count)
  • Stay consistent across the challenge → after 3 participations you get 3 extra points, after all 5 participations you get additional 10 points

As usual, questions are welcome here. Good luck :four_leaf_clover:

I think you may have used the description of last week’s challenge by mistake here.

Fixed, Thanks for spotting @DrKronos!

I used a plane to set an array direction (in the same plane as the sketch itself), which I left in the history. I don’t think that breaks the sketches+extrusion rule, does it?

it turns out you can delete the plane and it has no effect on the operation of the sketch.
