This will provide realistic visualisation of the internals of multi-part designs via cutaway views:
defining planar or non-planar cutaways of designs like the internals of motors with shafts, stators, gearboxes, etc. give best possible clarity of the design.
be able to define a cutting surface and select the parts which get cut in the visualisation and set the “cut surface representation such as per material, dimmed material or gray color on cut surfaces will provide the ability to see the design intent more clearly
*This feature would greatly support explaining the working principles of a design for partners by sharing rendered cutaway views.
What can’t you achieve without this feature?
need to transfer to a different renderer to help set up and explain design details of mechanical assemblies causing configuration control burden and requiring greater time to create comms to customers and manufacturing partners
