Sharing of files now requires a Shapr account

It used to be super easy to share a Shapr-model for collaborators to review.
I just discovered today that the receiver of the link now has to create a Shapr account.
I think it is a mistake of Shapr to implement this, although i understand the thought behind it.
Adding the account requirement made it much less useful, because:.

1.The way link sharing and reviewing works in Shapr is outstanding. Very easy and good to use.
It was one of the really great Shapr features form a user perspective.
No other software had as smooth a sharing feature as Shapr.
Not Rhino, not Solidworks or Onshape either.
Now its more difficult for the users.

2. The people that receive the links are not in the market for CAD software, and are not CAD users. That is the main reason for sending the CAD via link in the first place. This is at least my experience.

3. Many people will simply not use the link as it is now, - its just too much the hassle.

Lastly i will say that the visualization and commenting possibility has become great, simply great.

Shaper developers you are sensible people. Please take away the account requirement for link receivers.

- please please please

Best regards, Fredrik

That’s not true. You can share links for review as before. No account needed to view this kins of links.

Hi! I see there is some confusion regarding the Project link and the Review links. Sharing the project link will require a login in as you are sharing the workspace with another user (as opposed to exporting the file and sending it to another person, you can share the project link instead)

The Review link will display the model on your browser; no login is required to view the model.
